During the third quarter of 2024, the sports app landscape in the United Arab Emirates showcased varying trends across the top five iOS applications. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps demonstrated diverse patterns in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.

adidas: Shop Shoes & Clothing saw a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting at around 2K at the beginning of July and peaking at over 3.3K by the end of September. The app also maintained a stable base of weekly active users, with numbers hovering around 11K to 12K throughout the quarter.

365Scores: Live Scores & News experienced a fluctuating revenue stream, with a notable peak at $455 in late August. Downloads followed an upward trajectory, reaching a high of over 2K in the last week of September. Meanwhile, active users showed a varied trend, starting at over 62K and ending at approximately 54K.

beIN CONNECT (MENA) displayed a downward trend in downloads and active users. The app started the quarter with about 3.8K downloads, which decreased significantly to around 448 by the end of September. Active users mirrored this decline, dropping from nearly 6K to below 2K over the same period. Revenue remained relatively stable, albeit low, with minor fluctuations between $2 and $5.

The Premier League - Official App saw its downloads peak at over 4K in mid-August, followed by a decline to 665 by the end of the quarter. Active users peaked at over 18K in mid-August, with a subsequent decline, ending the quarter at around 13K.

Olympics: Live Sports & News experienced a notable spike in downloads during July, reaching over 4.8K, before dropping to minimal levels by the end of September. The active user base followed a similar pattern, with a peak of nearly 7K in late July, tapering off to just over 100 by the end of the quarter.
